Bed bug specialists
ThermoPest is a London-based bed bug heat treatment specialist. Our team, led by founder James Rhoades, brings over 20 years of combined pest control experience. Bed bugs are our core work, and other pest control companies bring us in for heat treatment too. We’re members of the British Pest Control Association (BPCA) and the National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA), and TrustMark registered, so you know exactly who you’re dealing with before we arrive.

Our mission
Our mission is simple: clear bed bugs properly, with as little disruption to your home or business as possible. We use a heat-led, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach, built around heat treatment. We heat rooms to 50–60°C and hold that heat until the hardest-to-reach spots stay above 50°C, the thermal death point for bed bugs and their eggs. Heat does the main work, with targeted products only where they’re needed, so your beds, sofas and belongings are treated rather than thrown away.
Heat reaches bed bugs and eggs hidden deep in mattresses, furniture and cracks, where sprays alone often miss them. Treatment is carried out in a single visit, most treatments are completed within a day, and qualifying whole-property treatments come with our 12-week guarantee.
We bring the same heat-led approach to moths, fleas, carpet beetles, cockroaches and stored product insects, for homes, landlords and businesses across London and the UK.
London HQ, UK-wide
Our head office is in Fitzrovia, Central London. London is one of the busiest places in the UK for bed bugs, so our technicians work in flats, HMOs, hotels and family homes every week, from Westminster and Camden to Kensington, Chelsea and Marylebone. Bed bugs that have survived DIY sprays are a regular part of that work. When we treat a flat, we’ll ask to inspect neighbouring flats too, because bed bugs can travel between them.
We also work nationwide for homeowners, landlords, hotels and housing providers. That includes trained K9 bed bug detection and heat treatment for commercial portfolios in cities such as Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh. Qualifying treatments are backed by our 12-week guarantee.
