Local bed bug specialists
ThermoPest delivers specialist bed bug heat treatment in Brighton throughout Kemptown, Hanover and Fiveways and nearby areas. Our team works with homeowners, landlords, letting agents, hotels and accommodation providers across homes, flats, rented properties, hotels and visitor accommodation, using a treatment plan based on the property, infestation and access requirements. Kemptown, Hanover and Fiveways contain a dense mix of terraces, converted flats and rented homes, alongside Brighton’s large visitor-accommodation sector.
Our treatments are carried out by dedicated bed bug technicians from a BPCA- and NPTA-member company. We use professional heat equipment and monitor temperatures throughout the treatment so heat reaches the areas bed bugs use as harbourage, targeting every life stage including eggs. Our heat-led treatment plans include tailored aftercare and further treatment where required. Qualifying whole-property treatments carry a 12-week treatment guarantee, subject to the terms.

How it works
Bed bugs and their eggs die when held above about 50°C for long enough. We heat rooms to 50–60°C and hold that heat until the hardest-to-reach spots stay above 50°C. The heat works its way into mattresses, headboards, sofas, carpet edges and furniture joints, treating adults, nymphs and eggs together.
Think of a seafront guest house in Kemptown or a converted Regency townhouse split into flats. We heat the affected rooms, place probes in the deepest hiding spots, such as bed bases and wardrobe backs, and check readings live until each has held above 50°C. For holiday lets and guest houses we plan the work around bookings where we can. Most treatments are completed within a day, and guests or residents can usually move back in after about 2 hours, unless your technician advises otherwise.
You get clear preparation steps beforehand and practical aftercare advice. Qualifying treatments carry our 12-week guarantee. See how our heat treatment works

Local insight
Brighton and Hove has a lot of tall, older housing. Regency and Victorian townhouses in Kemptown, Hove and along the seafront have often been split into several flats, while Hanover and the streets around the Level are packed with narrow terraces. Shared stairwells, floorboards and party walls make it easy for bed bugs to move from one flat to the next, so neighbouring homes may need checking too. Narrow stairs, basements and limited parking also shape how we plan each visit.
The University of Sussex and the University of Brighton mean many shared houses in Moulsecoomb, Coldean, Hanover and along the Lewes Road, with tenants changing each year. Brighton is also a popular seaside destination within easy reach of London, and its hotels, guest houses and holiday lets fill up for weekends, Pride and summer breaks. Bed bugs can arrive in a guest’s luggage and spread from room to room before anyone notices.
If you see bites, small dark spots on mattress seams or shed skins, book an inspection early. Guest house owners and hosts should check rooms between stays.

Pricing
Whole-property bed bug heat treatment in Brighton starts from £895. The final price reflects the size and layout of the property, how far bed bugs have spread and the preparation needed. A one-bedroom flat in Fiveways is a smaller job than a guest house with several letting rooms or a student HMO in Moulsecoomb, where each bedroom needs to reach temperature.
Brighton access can add time. Many converted flats sit at the top of steep, narrow stairs, and parking near the seafront and North Laine is often limited. We confirm the cost in writing before we start, and qualifying treatments include our 12-week guarantee. See our bed bug treatment prices for full details.
Reviews
After moving into a new flat in London, I started getting bites. I called ThermoPest, and they were round in no time. Their heat treatment was a game-changer—no chemicals, just pure heat to zap the pests. The lads were proper friendly and made sure I understood the process. Not a single bite since. Highly recommend!

An absolute nightmare getting bed bugs in one of our rental properties but Jamie and team managed to sort them out in ONE VISIT. Sooo impressed!! Worth every penny. Thanks so so much.

Unlucky, I found some bed bugs in one of my bed rooms. Luckily, I found James’ contact number, I called him and explained the situation, he gave me very reasonable quotation and guaranteed that he will solve the problem. He came next day giving first treatment and came again after 7 days. After two treatments, the bed bugs were all killed and I never had the same issue again.
I am so pleased with their professional service, and high recommend him to anyone who has the same problem.

I was skeptical about heat treatments for bed bug extermination, but Gavin at ThermoPest reassured me every step of the way. I live in a flat in central London, and the infestation was starting to spread to other rooms. The team acted quickly and discreetly, and the results speak for themselves—complete removal in one session.
