How it works
Bed bugs and their eggs die when held above about 50°C for long enough. We heat rooms to 50–60°C and hold that heat until the hardest-to-reach spots stay above 50°C. Temperature probes placed in mattresses, sofas, skirting boards and furniture joints let our technicians watch the readings live, so we know when each treated area has reached and held the target.
Take a two-up, two-down terrace in Burslem or Longton. Bed bugs often settle along the party wall, behind headboards and under carpet edges, so we place heaters and probes around those spots and advise on checking the homes either side if activity may have spread. Most treatments are completed within a day, and you can usually move back in after about 2 hours, unless your technician advises otherwise.
