How it works
Bed bugs and their eggs die when held above about 50°C for long enough. We heat rooms to 50–60°C and hold that heat until the hardest-to-reach spots stay above 50°C. Probes go into mattresses, bed frames, sofa joints and along skirting boards, and our technicians watch the readings live so we can see when every room has reached and held the target heat.
A common Coventry example is a student house in Canley or Tile Hill, close to the University of Warwick, with four or five bedrooms and a shared lounge. We heat the bedrooms and the shared spaces together, because bed bugs move between rooms, and we give tenants and landlords simple preparation steps beforehand.
Most treatments are completed within a day, and you can usually move back in after about 2 hours, unless your technician advises otherwise. Qualifying treatments are covered by our 12-week guarantee. See how our heat treatment works

Local insight
Coventry’s housing tells the story of its history. The city centre was largely rebuilt after the Second World War, so flats and maisonettes around the ring road sit alongside Victorian and Edwardian terraces in Earlsdon, Foleshill, Hillfields and Stoke. Where homes share walls, floors or communal stairwells, bed bugs can move between neighbours, so it pays to deal with any signs quickly.
Coventry University sits right in the city centre, and the University of Warwick is on the southern edge near Canley and Tile Hill. Many students rent shared houses in these areas and in Earlsdon, and the turnover each academic year, with bags, bedding and second-hand furniture moving between addresses, is a common way for bed bugs to travel.
The city also draws visitors to the cathedral, the Coventry Building Society Arena and events throughout the year, and its station links it closely with Birmingham and London. Hotels, short lets and regular commuters all benefit from simple habits such as checking luggage after a trip and looking at mattress seams when changing bedding.

Pricing
Whole-property bed bug heat treatment in Coventry starts from £895. The final price reflects the size and layout of the property, how widely the bed bugs have spread and the preparation involved. A two-bedroom flat in the city centre is a smaller job than a student HMO with several let rooms, and a semi-detached post-war house sits somewhere in between.
Parking and access in and around the city centre can also play a part, and we confirm the price before any work starts. Qualifying treatments carry our 12-week guarantee. See our bed bug treatment prices for what is included and the full guarantee terms.
Reviews
I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt I had to for ThermoPest because of how stressful our situation was. We started noticing bites a few weeks ago in our London flat and after some late night Googling I realised it was most likely bed bugs. At first, I tried sprays and washing everything, but nothing worked. It was honestly overwhelming – especially with kids in the house so I reached out to ThermoPest for help.
From the first call, they were professional and reassuring. They explained their bed bug heat treatment in London and how it kills all life stages (eggs, larvae, and adults) in one visit. The technicians turned up on time, were polite, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. They carefully moved furniture, set up their heaters, and kept me informed throughout the process.
The difference has been night and day. After the treatment, we’ve had zero bites and could finally sleep again without worrying. I really liked that it was a chemical free method too safe for kids and pets, which was a big deal for us.

After moving into a new flat in London, I started getting bites. I called ThermoPest, and they were round in no time. Their heat treatment was a game-changer—no chemicals, just pure heat to zap the pests. The lads were proper friendly and made sure I understood the process. Not a single bite since. Highly recommend!

I rarely leave reviews, but the service I got from ThermoPest was brillaint. My flat in Notting Hill had a stubborn bed bug issue that two previous companies failed to get rid of. ThermoPest were different – super thorough, really respectful of the property, and most importantly, the bed bugs are GONE.

My partner and young child had been getting bites for weeks and we finally found some live bedbugs in our bedroom and after researching different options we had decided that heat treatment would be the best option. We had more than a lot of questions but Gavin was helpful and patient with us which we really appreciated as we felt like we were going mad at times due to these little buggers.
Since the treatment we have not had a single bite and our finally remembering what a normal nights sleep feels like again so THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!
