How it works
Bed bugs and their eggs die when held above about 50°C for long enough. We heat rooms to 50–60°C and hold that heat until the hardest-to-reach spots stay above 50°C. Our technicians put probes into mattresses, divan bases, sofas and along skirting boards, and monitor the readings live so every room is held at the right heat for long enough.
A typical Milton Keynes job might be a modern apartment in Central MK or a Victorian railway terrace in Wolverton. Newer, well-sealed homes hold heat well, while older terraces need more care around draughty floors and shared walls, so we plan each one to suit.
Most treatments are completed within a day, and you can usually move back in after about 2 hours, unless your technician advises otherwise. Qualifying treatments are covered by our 12-week guarantee. See how our heat treatment works

Local insight
Milton Keynes was planned as a new town in the late 1960s, and much of its housing is modern: grid-square estates of terraces and townhouses, newer developments on the edges of the city and apartment blocks around Central MK and Campbell Park. The new town was also built around older places such as Bletchley, Wolverton, Stony Stratford and Newport Pagnell, where Victorian terraces and period homes sit on traditional high streets.
Bed bugs are not linked to the age of a building. They arrive on luggage, clothing and furniture, so a brand-new flat can be affected just as easily as an older terrace. Many people in Milton Keynes rent, and furnished lets that change hands often are worth checking carefully when you move in.
The city sits on the West Coast Main Line and close to the M1, so plenty of residents commute or travel for work, and its business parks, hotels and visitor attractions bring in a regular flow of people staying overnight. Checking a hotel room on arrival and unpacking away from the bed when you get home are simple habits that help.

Pricing
Whole-property bed bug heat treatment in Milton Keynes starts from £895. The final price depends on the size of the property, the number of rooms affected and the preparation needed. A one-bedroom apartment in Central MK is a smaller job than a four-bedroom family home on one of the newer estates, and rented houses shared by several tenants take more planning.
Apartment blocks with allocated or permit parking can also affect set-up, so we check access in advance and confirm the price before we start. Qualifying treatments carry our 12-week guarantee. See our bed bug treatment prices for what is included and the full guarantee terms.
Reviews
I was skeptical about heat treatments for bed bug extermination, but Gavin at ThermoPest reassured me every step of the way. I live in a flat in central London, and the infestation was starting to spread to other rooms. The team acted quickly and discreetly, and the results speak for themselves—complete removal in one session.

Amazing service from James and the team. Moved into a house where there were bedbugs, James and team got rid of them and also put up with my constant texts looking for advice and reassurance. I will definitely recommend you 100%

We had a horrible experience with bed bugs in our London apartment and honestly didn’t know where to turn. We tried cleaning, washing everything on high heat, even using DIY sprays, but the problem just kept coming back. It got to the point where we were losing sleep every night, so we decided to call in a professional service.
A friend recommended ThermoPest, and from the first phone call I felt more at ease. They were straightforward about what to expect and explained how their bed bug heat treatment in London works. The technicians arrived on time, were very professional, and spent time walking us through the whole process before starting.
The treatment itself took a few hours, and they asked us to prepare the rooms beforehand by decluttering and bagging up certain items. It was clear they knew exactly what they were doing, and they checked every corner to make sure nothing was missed.
The results have been amazing. Within days we noticed a complete difference – no more bites, no more scratching at night, and we could finally relax in our own home again.
